Morgan has about 368 influencer videos on her storefront. With Storefront Spy, I can scroll through and see detailed data for each of her videos. A key data point here is video placement—where her videos appear on the product page.
Understanding Video Placement on Product Pages
As you analyze video placement, you'll often notice "no video" indicators for products on other people's storefronts. This usually happens because you don't have videos on all the same products as they do. But here’s where Storefront Spy shines: you can add the Storefront Spy data point by clicking the two columns on the extension and then selecting the Storefront Spy option. The page will reload, and you’ll see comprehensive data on Morgan's video placements across different products.
For instance, Storefront Spy shows that her video appears in both the top and bottom carousels for some products, while it only appears in the bottom carousel for others. This insight is valuable because it allows you to see which videos are performing well and where there might be opportunities for you.
Using Storefront Spy to Identify Opportunities
What makes Storefront Spy so powerful is its ability to show you the potential of different products based on video placement. For example, I noticed that one product has just one influencer video (Morgan's), and it's generating over $4,000 in sales each month. This signals a potential opportunity for me to create a video for that product too.
You can dive deeper by clicking on the product linked to Morgan's video. This allows you to see the exact placement of her video on the product page, whether it's in the top or bottom carousel, or both.

The real benefit of Storefront Spy is that it allows you to learn from other successful Amazon influencers. By examining storefronts like Morgan's, you can analyze their thumbnails, video styles, and strategies to understand how they achieve ideal video placements. Sometimes, it's simply because there aren't many influencer videos on a particular product, making it easier for a video to be featured prominently.
Combining Storefront Spy with Product View for Deeper Insights
Storefront Spy becomes even more valuable when used alongside the Product View feature in Viral Vue. For Morgan's storefront, Viral Vue shows she has 368 posts, with 359 of those being videos. Of these, 37 are in the top carousel, 150 are in the bottom carousel, and another 150 are in both. Only 30 videos are in neither, and only 6 of her products have no carousel at all.
Opening the Product View provides a closer look at all her videos in one table. Here, I like to sort by 30-day revenue to see which top-selling products she has videos for. One product, for example, is generating an impressive $2 million in sales, although Morgan's video isn't in either the top or bottom carousel. With 343 influencer videos on that product, it's tough to get a spot.
By adding filters, you can refine your search to see which products have both top and bottom carousel placements and low competition. This helps pinpoint opportunities where you can create videos for products that aren’t overly saturated with influencer content.
