What is ASIN?

When researching Amazon products in Viral Vue, you’ll often see the term ASIN, short for Amazon Standard Identification Number.

An ASIN is a unique 10-character ID assigned to every product on Amazon.

  • It ensures each item in Amazon’s catalog can be identified.

  • It allows you to search for a product instantly without typing long titles.

  • It’s essential for tracking, sharing, or verifying products across Amazon tools.

How to View ASINs in Viral Vue

1. ASINs aren’t shown by default in the Viral Vue pop‑up, but adding them is simple. In the Viral Vue interface, click the two‑columns icon and toggle “ASIN” data point ON.

2. The ASIN also appears as a column in Product Vue and in the Web App tables, where you can easily copy the number using the copy icon next to it.

Will the ASIN ever change for a product?

No. ASINs are permanent for each product.

If a product has multiple sellers, will it have multiple ASINs?

No. The product keeps one ASIN, even if several sellers list it. Only different variations get separate ASINs.
