The Parent ASIN Tagging feature in Viral Vue lets you tag a single Parent ASIN to your videos, automatically linking all product variations under that parent. This removes the need to tag each variation separately and greatly increases your chances of appearing in multiple carousel placements on Amazon.
How It Works
1.Toggle On Parent ASIN – While viewing the Amazon product page in the Viral Vue extension overlay, click the 2 columns icon to customize displayed data points. Then, switch on the Parent ASIN toggle so it appears in your overlay view.
2.Copy the Parent ASIN – Click the Parent ASIN Copy icon to copy only the Parent ASIN. If you want to copy both the ASIN and the Parent ASIN at the same time for faster pasting, use the second Copy icon located next to the Parent ASIN.

For New Uploads – After uploading a video on the Amazon Influencer Post Creation page:
Paste the Parent ASIN into the Tag ASINs field.
Click Tag, then Close.
Add a title or click the + icon to add new title templates, then click Save. Use the templates you’ve set up in Viral Vue to quickly apply your preferred formats.
Click Submit to complete the process.

For Existing Content – Click the Edit icon next to an existing video in the Storefront Optimizer list to go to the Edit Post page:
Remove any old or unavailable ASIN.
Paste the Parent ASIN into the Tag ASINs field.
Click Tag, then Confirm, and finally Close.
The video will automatically be submitted and appear in your Pending content for review.

Can I use this method for out-of-stock products?
Only if the product is still available in other variations.
Where should I tag a parent ASIN?
Use Creator Studio. When you do, the Viral Vue ASIN Tagger will appear and let you tag the parent ASIN. You can’t tag the parent ASIN from Creator Hub.
Will Parent ASIN tagging work outside the ASIN Tagger?
No. Using the parent ASIN anywhere else won’t work.
I was trying to upload videos to CA and UK, but it takes forever and just shows the “Waiting on Upload” pop-up.
Make sure you are logged in to your influencer account and that you are approved for those marketplaces. If you haven’t been approved yet, you’ll need to apply separately for each marketplace.
Is it recommended to go back through the storefront and update all videos to add the parent ASIN?
No, it is NOT recommended to add parent ASINs to past videos unless a video is no longer performing. Moving forward, the parent ASIN should be added on new uploads and on videos where the product is unavailable.
I have a VA. Can they use the ASIN Tagger to upload videos on my behalf as an invited user?
Yes, they can use the VA Mode feature to be able to do use ASIN Tagger.
I’m unable to tag ASINs using the ASIN Tagger and see “Failed during data saving (EX10)”. What should I do?
This happens if there’s an issue with your video upload or post details on Amazon. Make sure your video has fully uploaded and is not processing in Creator Studio. Avoid using Creator Hub, as it’s a legacy platform and no longer maintained.
