Following up with brands just got a whole lot easier. The Viral Vue Follow-Ups feature in Creator Connections is designed to help creators increase responses, secure more collaborations, and ultimately get more free products and brand deals, without eating into your daily message limit.
What Is the Follow-Ups Feature?
The Follow-Ups feature allows you to send reminder messages to brands you’ve already contacted but haven’t heard back from yet.
Key highlights:
Follow-ups are separate from your daily message limit
If you have 20 daily messages, you also get 20 follow-ups
If you have 100 daily messages, you also get 100 follow-ups
Any extra messages you purchase include the same number of extra follow-ups.
Why Follow-Ups Matter
Brands are busy. Messages can be missed, sent at the wrong time or day, and buried under a flood of influencer requests.
A simple, well-timed follow-up can:
Bring your message back to the top of their inbox
Show professionalism and interest
Help you get chosen over another creator
How to Use the Follow-Ups Feature
Step 1:
Open Creator Connections Messages
You’ll see the options in the top-right corner: “Follow-Up” and “Edit Follow-Up”
Step 2:
Click Edit Follow-Up to create and save your follow-up template. You can create as many follow up templates as you like.
This is where you can get creative:
A simple check-in
“Hey {{brand}}, just checking in on this potential collaboration!”
An incentive-based message
“Hey {{brand}}, I’d be happy to feature this on my YouTube channel at no cost.”
💡 Tip: Don’t just use generic messages. Unique, friendly, and creative follow-ups perform best.
Step 3:
Scroll through your message list and you’ll see a Follow-Up button only on eligible messages.
Check the box next to one or more brands, then click Follow-Up.
It can take a few minutes for follow-up checkboxes to appear on eligible messages, as the system scans hundreds (or even thousands) of messages to determine follow-up eligibility. If the checkboxes aren’t showing, a quick refresh usually helps.
Smart Rules That Prevent Spamming
The system automatically handles the logic in the background to protect both creators and brands:
✅ Follow-up button only appears if:
The brand has not replied
You have not sent a follow-up message to that brand before
The message is at least 24 hours old.
The past messages was sent through the VV automation. So as long as the original message went out using Viral Vue’s tool, you’ll be able to follow up even if it was a month ago.
The Creator Connections campaign for that product is still active
❌ Follow-ups are disabled if:
The brand already responded
You have already sent a follow-up message to that brand
You just sent the original message recently
The original message was sent manually in Creator Connection Messaging.
The Creator Connections campaign has ended or is out of budget for that product
This ensures you never accidentally spam sellers or send duplicate messages.

Do follow-ups count toward my daily message limit?
No. Follow-ups are completely separate from your initial outreach messages.
How far back can I send follow-up messages in Creator Connections using Viral Vue?
You can only follow up on messages you’ve sent with Viral Vue’s Brand Reach Out. For messages sent manually or before you started using the tool, the checkbox won’t appear.
